ISO 9001 applies to all types of organizations. It doesn't matter what size they are or what they do. It can help both product and service oriented organizations achieve standards of quality that are recognized and respected throughout the world. The ISO 9000:2008 standard was developed to implement and operate an effective Quality Management System (QMS).
ISO 9001 sets out the requirements for any organization whose business processes may range all the way from design and development, to production, installation and servicing.
